Fornvännen

Fornvännen is the leading journal of Swedish antiquarian research, published in collaboration between Vitterhetsakademien and the Swedish National Historical Museums

Fornvännen is a Swedish academic journal of archaeology and early art history. It was founded by the Academy in 1906 to replace Vitterhetsakademiens Månadsblad (Vitterhetsakademien’s monthly journal) and Svenska Fornminnesföreningens Tidskrift (the journal of the Swedish Antiquarian Society). Fornvännen is now published quarterly in collaboration with the Swedish National Historical Museums. It is a peer-reviewed journal, with contributions written in the Scandinavian languages, English, or German with summaries in English, and is known for its extensive reviews section. Fornvännen is available with open access.
